4rth Position - Azalea Town - video and action
[ACTION: Duck emerges from Ilex Forest, muddy, dishevelled, and dog-tired, leaning on a stick. It's shortly after sundown, and after 10 days in Ilex Forest, all of her pokemon are pretty much exhausted. Even Albrecht is hanging from a branch of Duck's walking stick rather than flapping around excitedly as zubats normally do. And he's the most energetic of the bunch right now.]
Look, Al, we've made it to the clearing! Isn't that nice? [Duck's words might sound cheerful and upbeat but her delivery is deadpan; she doesn't have the energy for anything else. And it's only now that she musters the willpower to look up.] Oh. We made it.
[From the blank look on her face, it hasn't sunk in yet. She takes off her pack and sits down on the side of the road, her zubat settling down on top of her head as she looks back at the entrance to the forest.] Better wait for Ty Lee.
[VIDEO: From what you can see of the background, Duck seems to sitting in front of Kurt's house. She's still dishevelled, to the point where there are twigs and leaves sticking out of her hair, and a smear of mud on her cheek.]
I finally made it to Azalea Town. We got lost, but we finally made it. And just in time, too. I ran out of birdseed just yesterday.
The wild pokemon in Ilex Forest are really tough!

Duck looks like she's been in a fight and from what she understands, you are supposed to fight enemies. ]
Ilex Forest ... has bad Pokemon?
video
video
... why do you fight them?

[ Sorry for the three-year-old understanding. ]
... Stellar understands.

But when we did have to fight, we just tried to knock the wild pokemon unconscious.

But this girl ... is very funny. ]
Thank you. Stellar learn a lot. What is your name?
no subject
Sorry, that was a stupid question. Stellar's a pretty name!
no subject
Thank you. [ Though she doesn't know who gave it to her. It was the name given to her by the doctors at the scary laboratory where they were born. ]
Stellar likes her name too.
[audio]
[Er. She did use to be a duck, but... The more obvious answer has slipped his mind, for now.]
[audio]
I had to eat wild leeks and stuff.
[audio]
Oh... Yeah, that makes more sense. I guess you have a lot of flying types?
[audio]
... Come to think of it, they're all flying types.
[audio]
[Once upon a time, Hiccup had dreams of a dragon-only team. Things happened.]
How long were you in there, anyway?
[audio]
Let's see... Today's the 22nd... when did we go into the forest? Feels like I've been in there forever... I think ten days? The map says it's only supposed to take five. We screwed up pretty badly, I guess.
[audio]
[...Wow, Duck. It's like you have the luck of, well, him.]
O-kay, yeah that's...a bit of a detour.

Video
Hey, are you alright? I mean, it sounds like you've had a pretty rough time.
Video
I'm fine now! I just got lost in the forest for a couple of days. I was with someone else, but we got separated along the way... I hope she's okay.

Video
[It's pretty clear from the puzzled look on Duck's face that she's not sure what a cell phone is... but the 'don't you know anything' attitude most people have taken with regards to her questions about technology has sort of made her wary about actually asking.]
Video
[Not really sure how to explain cell phones to someone who doesn't know what they are. Besides, if her friend has her gear, she's probably seen the post all ready, right? Right]
But, she has her Pokemon on her, right? I hear that these little guys are pretty tough, even if they don't always look like it. I'm sure she'll be fine.
Re: Video
Video
[Thinking, thinking... this could be worse than she thought. However, she didn't want to make Duck more worried than she was, either]
Video
But atually, I think I see her coming up the road!

action;
Whew, we finally got out of that bush, Fen. We totally should have taken the trees instead... I hope these don't make a bunch of scars. Ugh...
[ She rests one hand on her knee as her other reaches up to pat the only pokémon she has out now. There are little scrapes on her calves below the line of her skirt - and some on the skirt itself. Looking up, though, she does have a smile for Duck. ]
—Oh, wow! Is that a new town?
action; sorry for the really late reply
